The three dodgy brothers head off to Shepparton back from Flemington dressed as what they unfortunately are, maidens.
Oaks day 2012 sees Zorro's long awaited return to the track after 6 weeks off via a non race night qualifying trial at Shepparton Thursday November 8th. When your still a maiden you can't be too fussy when and where you can race. He will attend the 10 race card where the fastest 8 winners will contest the final on Monday 19th November. He will make the trip along with his two litter brothers, Flash and Brow who are also contesting the heats. He has drawn box 4 in a field of 6 with a smart one in box 2, so fingers crossed as he has been off the scene for some time. If anything it's at the very least another run under his belt.
Report Card.
The 3 turned up and must of still been in party mood from Ladies Day at the Flemington Horse Races. Zorro apparently began well and had a bumping duel at the first turn which put paid to any chance he had in the race. The winner ( Speed Series box 1 ) scooted away to record the fastest heat win of the night in 22.24, a very good time so it was going to be nigh on impossible to win anyway. That was Zorro's first run for a while and he finished 3rd of 5 some 13.25 len from the winner. Brow also had similar run and time as Zorro for a 3rd in his heat, another fast one run in 22.39. Flash well not so good must be a party animal, struggling. Might be a bit of a wait now for Zorro as not much action at the Bendigo track for his level where he races best until December whilst Brow has a race next Wednesday at Shepparton. Well done to Brow ( Snow Bat ) 2nd in Race 1 at Shepp and now has earned some prizemoney
November 19th - Speed Series wins the final by 5.25 L at 7/2 and once again a dog wins the final that won Zorro's heat 3rd times out of 4 that has occurred.
